You're invited to join KJZY for
our first 'Jazzy After Work Concert' this Thursday, March 15th, from
5:30 to 8 p.m. at Nectar Restaurant. Nectar is located in the
Hilton Sonoma Wine Country Hotel in the Fontaingrove area of Santa Rosa,
overlooking the historic Round Barn. (Click here for map)
To get our
After Work Concert series underway this year we decided to just
concentrate on having some fun, so we're presenting the hot latin jazz
band 'Batacha' for your listening, and dancing, pleasure. If you've
heard 'Batacha' before you know they feature an irresistible mix of
rhythm and jazz that will get you up and moving, so before the band
starts we've arranged to give you a free salsa dance lesson from Jose
Santamaria of the J.A.S. Dance Academy in Santa Rosa. Jose and some of
his students will also provide us with a demonstration.
Now of course, dancing is not required. You can just enjoy
the hot jazz from 'Batacha' while watching the sunset from Nectar's
patio and enjoying some tasty treats. It's an opportunity to get
reacquainted with all your 'Jazzy' friends, and maybe even win a door
prize.
It's a concert and party, so bring along all your
friends and co-workers and join in the fun. The 'Batacha' concert and
salsa dance lessons are free, and Nectar will be extending their
Happy Hour prices on their delicious food and drink until 8 p.m. The
